Steak of the Sea

Had this for dinner the other night, salmon and mash.

Didn't have any steak but the salmon worked great (good rhyme isn't it?). The salmon was seasoned with a little salt and pepper and then pan fried, skin-side down, on high heat for three minutes. Then I flipped it and fried for another couple of minutes.

The skin was nice and crispy but I was still not quite happy with it. So I finished it off with the blowtorch, crisping up the skin like crackling.

Served with crushed potatoes and a green salad with pine nuts and a honey lemon dressing. Quick and easy meal, perfect to knock up after a day of work.

  1. I think I've got to get a blow torch too, would be very useful to make anything extra crispy :)

  2. I got mine from Bunnings. They are heaps cheaper and work just as good, if not better.
